Hi,
Went to the SC yesterday along to hear the contempt case submitted by Nidesh Gupta for non complaince of the SC orders re our pensions.
Altamas Kabir was the senior judge of the bench , he was fully aware of the case & was furious with the COAS & Def Secy for not implementing the SC orders.
He let the Def lawyers have it as they gave no reasons for non execution. He first issued notice to the COAS & Def Secy to come personally to the court & explain as to why the the SC orders had not been executed & why a contempt case should not be lauched against them . On pleading by the Def lawyers he excused their personal appearance.
On our pressurizing he fixed the next hearing on 4th May.
This news was picked up by all TV channels & high lighted in their 1200hrs onwards.
Hope the Govt now takes some action .

Dear Sirs, & Friends,
1. Indian Ex-Servicemen Movement is holding a national level ESM Rally in
protest for One Rank One Pension (OROP) & Injustices being caused by the
Govt/ IAS cadre, on ESM feternity. The Protest will start at Jantar Mantar at
11am to 2.30pm.
2.All ESM Organisations & ESM League are joining from all over Pb & India,
to make it a big success. All ESM Candidates for LS will also be joining Rally.
3. Major Policy matters & Voting Policy will be declared there, to safe
guard/ protect ESM value & dignity and to press on our 28 demands.
4. Pb ESM from far away places are reaching Delhi by Night trains and buses
are being arranged at Ludhiana, Fatehgarh, Patiala, Garhshankar & Kharar.
5. Mohali/ Tricity two buses shall be leaving for Delhi at 5am on 12 Apr from
Amb Sahib Gurudwara. Please book your seats free of cost immediately and
also coop, support & donate bravely for the ESM community's noble cause. So
that we can work for the better Nation building & remove corrupt system. So far we have been fighting terrorists & Talibans, but got no social & economic value of our sacrifices.
